Mod 3.2: Introducing Your Topic

Surrogacy is still somewhat of a controversial subject in society. Depending on whom you talk to and taking into account their personal and religious beliefs, you will find a whole range of differing views on the topic. The various factors people will bring up in opposition to surrogacy are ones that relate to sexual orientation, religious views, moral opinions and wealth.

Sexual orientation along with religious views will bring mountains of opinionated people to the surface regardless of the topic and wealth can often find its way to cause trouble for those without it. Whether people think it is right or wrong, I am a firm believer that people wanting to become parents deserve to have a baby they can love each and every day, as an extension of themselves and if they need a little bit of help getting there, then so be it.

Surrogacy has been documented to exist since biblical times, it is nothing new and with the continuation of new technology there are now other types of surrogacy which never used to exist. Perhaps it is these new technologies that people are opposed to as they feel it is unnatural and goes against nature. But for those people who have had difficulty in starting a family these technologies are their only hope.
Therefore my topic will focus on pro surrogacy!

There is so much medical information available and why you should chose a specific surrogacy agency, but what appears to be missing is what is learned personally in the process. My blog will focus on my viewpoint and heavily on my friends who was the surrogate mother. The procedures she had to endure to enable her to give birth for another family and how she felt about doing everything - her reasons and thoughts.

I am hoping to share this story in a personable way so It really gives someone hope that surrogacy is an option out there and may work for them even though they may encounter ups and downs along the way – not every surrogacy journey is an open and shut text book case and it is good to know that you’re not alone and others have had similar or different experiences.
